our favorite itinerary this year is enriched by the Museo Ferragamo and the “Marilyn” exhibit: never before seen paparazzi shots of the eternal diva, the “Happy Birthday Mr. President” video, the most inspired photo shoots by professional photographers mixed with the authentic samples of shoes designed, created, invented and prototyped by master in geniality himself Salvatore, bring the fabulosity thermometer to sizzling temperatures in al already scorching July in Firenze.
the not so encouraging “no pictures allowed” sign plus the hottest young Italian men in Ferragamo uniforms supervising the rooms didn’t stop me to take a snapshot of the famous Marilyn moment with the revealing white dress in “The Seven Year Itch”.
what strikes me, it always does, no matter how many times I go back, is the quality and understated refinement of some of the grab-a-quick-lunch gourmand staples.
