As you will know if you follow my blog on a regular basis, I am a real beauty lover. There is nothing that I enjoy more than trying out new beauty products, well apart from traveling, that is.

If you want to be able to try out and use good-quality items, you need to be able to spend a considerable amount. Well, at least that’s how it appears when you shop on the high street, anyway.
However, that isn’t actually, the case. While, in stores, beauty products tend to be expensive, there are lots of other ways you can pick them up for lower prices. At one time of another, we all have money problems. But that doesn’t mean that you have to stop buying your fave products.
Recycle your old makeup containers
This is one of the beauty industry’s best kept secrets. If you return an empty makeup container, to the company, they’ll give you free products. Yes, I am 100 percent serious. How awesome is that – help the environment and get free makeup.
While some stores will give you free products for bringing back your empties, others will give you a discount voucher instead. Each company has a different policy, so make sure to find out what it is beforehand. Either way, recycling your old makeup containers is a great way to get your hands on new products
Did you know that by opting to buy your beauty products online, you could save money? Most cosmetics online are cheaper to buy than products in stores, so these are definitely worth taking a look at.
From makeup to facial scrubs, shopping online could save you between 10 and 20 percent of what you would pay in store. It might not seem like a lot, but this soon adds up.
Shop the sales
When money is tight, one of the best ways to get new beauty products is shopping the sales. Sign up to email updates for all of your favorite beauty brands, so that every time that there is a sale on, you get an alert.
By shopping the sales, you can get more for your money. Plus, you will be able to keep up with the beauty trends, without having to worry about breaking the bank.
Buy second-hand
Okay, before you shudder at the idea of using someone else’s old products, hear me out. When I say shop second-hand, I don’t mean buy used items. You can pick up lots of brand new beauty products on sites like Ebay, that are a fraction of the price that they would be in the shops.
Another way to get new products second-hand is by buying from bloggers. Many bloggers who get sent beauty products to review, review them and then never use them. They then offer these products for low prices on blogging and selling sites, so look out for these.
When money is tight, it can be tricky to keep your beauty stash stocked up, but it is doable. The key is to think outside of the box and look for ways to get new products at the lowest prices.
