So after finally gettin' over the events of Friday night at the university ball (see what I wore over on my instagram here -  I must just mentioned before hand, I am in love with my new floral crown and it was by far the best accessory of my outfit. I love how they add a different spin on an outfit and will definitely be investing in a few more for the summer) and picking at all the carby food inc. McDonalds, Domino's, Cheesy Chips, and not to mention a Wagamamas last night, today I wanted to get a post together of my style picks of the chunky summer sandal. Although it is technically summer the weather hasn't been livin' up to its expectations, particularly in my little corner of the country. Even though it may be cloudy the air is pretty mild as you would expect for this time of year, so us British will do what we do best and make the most of the weather. I have ousted out most of my old sandals as some were worn and had seen better days, so today whilst on the hunt for some new leather sandals I thought I'd throw together a few favourites I stumbled across online. The black leather sandal is extremely versatile and works perfectly in the most simplest of outfits: plain tee and high waisted levi's. These gladiator and chunky styles found at Topshop, Kurt Geiger, Zara, Asos and Office are the perfect classic and statement sandals for this summer. I had my eye on the Asos Flashback Flatforms when I last placed my order but may be patient and wait till another discount promotion before I get my hands on 'em. I particularly like the flatform style shoe and the patent and buckle detail on these. I also love the traditional Gladiator Sandals with Buckles from Zara with the buckle detail up past the ankle. I'm also still considering a pair of the JuJu Maxi Low Jellies in Black.
Tomorrow is the blog's first birthday. My ol' my has the year flown by and it's been tough doing it alongside my final year and due to ill health in the family but I've pressed on and can't wait to wish it a little ol' Happy 1st Birthday tomorrow! Thank you for all my lovely readers and everyones continued support, I really do appreciate it! Think it's time I got another giveaway together!
