Story: My Name is Vendetta starts as we meet Santo (Gassmann) a quiet family man living in Italy with his wife Ingrid (Dieks) and teenage daughter Sofia (Francesconi). He keeps his life quiet for a reason but when a photo of him emerges online, his old enemies decide to hunt for him.
Santo must protect Sofia from hitmen being sent to kill them. his old family want to clean up a loose end and now Santo must use his skills to eliminate the targets who are after him.
Verdict on My Name is Vendetta
My Name is Vendetta is an action thriller that sees a former hitman getting drawn back into the life after his former bosses discover him alive. This sees him needing to use his skills to protect his daughter against hitmen coming after him after his former boss refuses to let it be.
As we enter a revenge-filled assassin-planted world, we get to see something that feels similar to a ‘Taken’ movie. An older figure needs to fight back against larger numbers who want him dead. It gets all the basic right, being violent in style, however, nothing ends up feeling fresh. This ends up becoming a by-the-books action movie that is perfect for the late-night action collection.
