My Memory is Short, Poem.

By Harry @web_pensioner

Forgive my forgetfulness

I was not always like this

not knowing who you are

I have my pictures

your name slipped away

I know your face
my memories are short

from along time ago

no one visits

was there ever anyone

I sit here day after day

talking to neighbours

I do not understand them

nor, do they me

I don’t know what I’m missing

as I can’t remember what I had

this is my lot now

so please understand me

I must have known you

we must have been friends

my minds playing tricks now

I’m in my own little world

Can also be seen at my poetry blog
