Each year, about this time, I host a small gathering of friends at my house.
We eat, we drink, we laugh & chat for hours...and we create a project of some sort. This year I gave each of the girls one of the Pink Paislee Memorandum Notebooks and we spent some time filling them with photos and documenting some of our favorite days.
We even had a little Minc bar...
It's always a good time.
And I think one of the best things about this little party is that I try to invite women who are not necessarily already life-documenters.
I love introducing my favorite things to my favorite people...and I hope, in the process, I'm sparking at least some desire for memory-keeping.
At the end of the night I gave each of my guests a little bag of cookies that I'd made for them. I spent a few hours in the days before the party using some of my new Heidi Swapp Cookie Decorating tools (available at select Joann Stores)...and I love how they turned out!
Packaging them up was my very favorite part. And making the bags look pretty was so easy with just a few supplies...
I included a piece of Heidi's new dotted cellophane inside the bag to add just a little extra fun...
Then just a little white feather, one of the cookie separators from the bag kits punched and used as an embellishment, and a glitter-dipped tag, all hung from a length of Heidi's new baker's twine and my bags were perfect.
My guests loved their little packages...and I had a BLAST baking & packaging...
In fact, I'm planning on doing a little more next weekend - I think I've found a new love...
