If you've been around my blog awhile you know that I've done a few fun things to my hair in the last few months. A lot of them actually being the first time that I've done them too like putting actual highlights in my hair ( yes 30 I had never colored my hair ) and had a blast doing it too! Feeling a bit more adventurous I continue to love to try new things, including getting my first blow out!
I was able to grab an appointment ( Thanks Kitsy!) last week in between work hours to run over to the glamorous and very chic DreamDry located in Buckhead. I've had so many friends and bloggers share how much they love getting a blow out but I had really no idea what they entailed. What is a blow out?
A good professional blow out is very different than blowing your hair dry at home and it can actually keep for a couple of days, depending on your level of exertion post blow out. It is generally also a lot nicer than the blow out you get at the end of your haircut as that is the point of the visit. The salon uses different shampoo then what you'd normally have if you were getting a haircut which makes your hair sleeker, shiner and lasting longer!
ExperienceWalking into this ultra chic salon just gave me butterflies looking at how sleek and beautiful everything was! It was modern, yet comforting. I was paired with Sonya who was so sweet discussing how excited she was to have me experience a blow out for my first time, going over everything and anything she was going to use for my hair and asked what my overall look was that I wanted. If I was heading somewhere for dinner ( sadly that wasn't the case) I could definitely see myself doing something extra fun but I wanted a softer look since I really was just heading back to the office so I opted for some loose beachy waves! Ya'll...she did a FABULOUS job! I felt so elegant yet effortless with this look!

Everyone is extremely friendly, supportive and overall knowledgeable about hair, products and how to make you feel at ease!
