Autumn/Winter is my favorite season because of the cozy layering and luxe materials and colors. One my favorite trends for this season is dark florals. It's beautiful, romantic, and moody at the same time. Florals are no longer reserved for Spring, and this is a trend that I've fully adopted especially living in Texas. My rule of thumb is to only try a trend if it works with my style, and I'm definitely loving this one.

With embroidered flowers, ruffles, and an off-the-shoulder necklace, how could I resist this dress?! Later, I realized it was inspired by this Alexis dress. It's a perfect LBD (little black dress) for date night or girls night out. When the weather cools down, I could throw on a tuxedo blazer, booties, and tights for added warmth.
I could even try the jeans-under-the-dress for a unique and sophisticated look. Wearing pants under is my trick for shorter dresses, but I wonder how this would look with jeans under it?!

The dark floral trend is super easy to wear!
- Keep it simple by pairing your dark floral piece with black to let the florals stand out. ex. Wear black jeans with a dark floral top.
- Find an accent color within the graphic print. ex. I could have worn emerald green tassel earrings with this dress or a blush pink coat over it.
- Decide on your mood! Romantic, edgy, modern? I went for a feminine look but could have made it edgy by wearing it with a moto jacket and booties.
