My garden is starting to blossom! I see the beautiful colors of spring popping up every day and it’s so exciting to experience it! Slowly but surely my perennials are flowering. This is the moment I wait in anticipation of every year. The color in my garden tells me that winter is gone and spring is here! Can you tell I’m excited?
The first flowers to pop up are always the crocuses. We have them in several different colors: yellow, purple and this white one with purple veins.
Hello, lovely yellow daffodils! We have them planted in a circle around our Japanese Maple. They’re just stunning when in bloom.
You may notice that our hyacinths are intermixed with the daffodils. The hyacinths just starting to blossom. When a breeze is blowing, it’s such a delight to catch a whiff of their fragrance.
We planted pink hyacinths. I love the way they blend together with the yellow daffodils. They’re perfect colors for spring.
Those light-green spikes you faintly see sticking out from the mulch are the beginning signs of our hostas.
Ah, yes! The tulips. I’m like an anxious parent waiting for them to blossom. They’re such a tease! Aren’t the purple pansies just stunning?
This year my front door is getting a spring wreath. I had my local nursery include parrot tulips. It’s extremely eye-catching and captures the essence of the season.
My ranunculus plants are blooming quite nicely, don’t you think?
This is just a small taste of how my front garden is looking in the spring season. I just love to stand at the crosswalk and admire its color.
