As a blogger, you must have heard that using too many plugins might slow down your blog’s speed, right?

That’s true, there are some plugins that have enough weight, if not optimized properly, can crash your site.

So what’s the amount of plugins one can install on his blog/site? Cutting your plugin usage to 10 or so can help your blog speed… we all know Google Search love blogs that are fast.

Since plugins are essential to our blogging life, I have decided to share with you my top 5 plugins I love

My 5 WordPress Plugins You Will Fall In Love With

Let’s start with the most important plugin on the list 😉

SEO BY YOAST

We all need traffic from search engines because it’s part of what keeps our blog alive, so installing a plugin that can attract these search engines to our blog should be the first step that comes to mind.

Though there are a lot of awesome SEO plugins out there, SEO by Yoast is one of the best out there. I like this plugin because it is easy to set up and it also has a lot of cool features that you’ll find useful in growing your blog.

WORDFENCE SECURITY

Once your blog starts gaining an audience, it might start gaining bots who’d want to hack your site. You can’t always be online to protect yourself from these hackers. After doing your security check, getting a security plugin that can at least help you secure your blog might just be the right step to take.

There are countless security plugins out there, but I am choosing Wordfence security because of its features. It can protect your blog from hackers and has the option to set a “two login” authentication.

You will definitely find this plugin useful if you are set to secure your blog from malware, attacks, and other security problems.

UPDRAFTPLUS – BACKUP/RESTORE

Sometimes, things happen, plugins malfunction. Without having a backup of your blog, things might get worse. It is advisable to do a backup of your blog at least once a week.

When you back up your blog, you can easily retrieve it when you get attacked or when you’re blog malfunction or if you’re migrating to a new host.

There are a lot of backup plugins out there that can back up you’re blog automatically, but I prefer using Updraftplus.

This reason I love this plugin is that it has a lot of functions most backup plugins don’t have…

Searching for a backup plugin, you will definitely love this.

REVIVE OLD POSTS

It is almost impossible sharing all your old blog posts to your social networks if you’re having a huge blog.

Trying to share your old posts will not only be time-consuming, but it is also so so stressful.

For a task as huge as this one, I use an automated plugin that can post on multiple social networks at a time.

You can set the time when each of your posts will be published so you won’t look like a spammer or get your site blocked.

If you’re planning on reviving your old blog post and drive traffic to your blog, I’ll suggest you try out the Revive Old Post plugin.

W3 TOTAL CACHE

Once you start installing plugins, making more and more blog posts, upload images, visitors checking in, your blog might gradually be slowing down.

You can easily help speed up your blog by using the W3 Total Cache plugin.
