Some of ya’ll may remember her from Project Runway, she was the first Hijabi woman to be on the show.
I found a video of Knight discussing her line with Buzzfeed, where she shared with the site that,”any woman of any faith can wear my designs.”
There’s a decision that’s made by women like me, who like myself are Muslim, or Jewish, or even Christian, Knight shared. There are so many Christian women who dress modestly. There’s a decision that when we’re outdoors with these people we don’t know, we are not going to be showing our skin. And then when we’re indoors in that scared space with our family members, with our husbands, then we’re going to actually show ourselves to those people who are most deserving.
