Posted on the 17 May 2016 by Tomatrax @TomatraxAU

We're past the half way mark and now looking at the top 50! In addition to voting for their favourite songs, a few artists provided some words around why their choice was their favourite, these will start popping up here and there as we count down the list.

50 The Beatles - She Loves You

49 Stone Roses- Fool's gold

48 Velvet Underground - Beginning To See The Light

47 Type O Negative - Anesthesia

46 Smashing Pumpkins - Soma

45 Prince - Little Red Corvette

44 Alcest - La Nuit Marche Avec Moi

43 Bjork - Pluto

42 The Cure - Close to me

41 Jeff Buckley - Everybody here wants you

"' Everybody here wants you' is streets ahead of the others, I think it is one of the best songs ever written by one of the world's best songwriters. The production is tasteful, the lyrics are tender and devastating at the same time, and Jeff's delivery is flawless. Every time I listen to it, it feels fresh and familiar at the same time. " Lily Louise, Clews, and Jupiter & the Moon
