Mush have announced details of their new album ‘Lines Redacted’, which is due to be released on 12 February next year via Memphis Industries. The record follows hot on the heels of this year’s debut ‘3D Routine’ and finds the band observing how the world is changing around us – especially in these fraught pandemic times.
The record is preceded by new single ‘Blunt Instruments’, a wiry and weird yet wonderful pop song that conjures up memories of Super Furry Animals, Pavement and the Young Knives’ more recent material. The band proudly declare ‘I ain’t the worst of my kind and I doubt that I’m alone’ before talking about striking a chord with the ‘riff raff’ and ‘abstract impressionists’: ‘Perfect design compromised the crime scene, yeah, I was dusting for prints’.
