Museum of Graffiti Partners with D.A.D.E. for New Fashion Collection

A new fashion collaboration between the Museum of Graffiti and Miami’s original streetwear brand, D.A.D.E., is set to launch with a collection that showcases the art of three prominent Miami street artists.

The release party for this highly anticipated collection will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 7-10 pm at the Museum of Graffiti, located at 276 NW 26th St., Miami, FL 33127. The event will feature a complimentary Modelo bar, first access to the collection, and music by Jimbo Slice. Admission is pay-what-you-can with RSVP available at www.museumofgraffiti.com.

A Tribute to Miami’s Street Art Scene

The collection includes designs by veteran graffiti artists Disem, Reds, and Siner, each bringing their unique Miami-inspired artistry to the pieces. Disem’s work pays homage to the iconic Freedom Tower, while Siner’s design is a creative take on a Cuban diner placemat featuring a map of Miami, marking the locations of the city’s original graffiti “penits”—a term unique to Miami for abandoned spaces where artists gathered to practice illegal graffiti.

“Since the early 2000s, I have been captivated by D.A.D.E. for its ability to encapsulate the essence of Miami—the dust and the glitter—in a single piece of apparel. I remain inspired by the idea of multidisciplinary creatives coming together to represent our city from the inside out,” said Allison Freidin, co-founder of the Museum of Graffiti.

About D.A.D.E.

D.A.D.E., Miami’s original streetwear and lifestyle brand, has been a cornerstone of the city’s urban art and culture since the mid-90s. Founded by artist and visionary Rob Pellegrino, the brand initially aimed to establish a record label and promotion company for emerging Miami talent. Although the original business concept did not succeed, the iconic D.A.D.E. logo endured, becoming a symbol of Miami pride and creativity. Rebranded in 2005, D.A.D.E. now operates its flagship store in Little Havana, offering custom screen printing and embroidery for Miami’s artists and local businesses.
