Mumbai News Live and Updates Mumbai on Monday begins Covid-19 vaccination drive for children progressed 15-18. Vaccination for this age type will be carried out at nine Goliath centres, with each center having a capacity to vaccinate children daily, said Dr Mangala Gomare, administrative health officer, BMC.

Mumbai on Sunday recorded new Covid-19 cases along with 578 reclamations, the public health department said. The megacity on Saturday reported infections with active Covid cases at Maharashtra on Sunday reported fresh Covid-19 cases and 9 deaths. The state also detected 50 new Omicron cases taking the total census of the new variant to 510. Presently, there are active cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, the Mumbai communal body conducted tests, according to the health bulletin.

The sharp increase in diurnal cases of Covid-19 and emergence of the new variant Omicron has led to rise in constraint zones and sealed structures in Mumbai. The spread of infection is advanced in areas similar as Bandra, Colaba, Fort, Malabar Hill, Andheri and GG Worli as the average growth rate in the last seven days has gone up.
