Multitasking Dresses

By Annamoss84 @missanniebean
This week in the UK, apparently the sun may be paying us a well needed visit!  I've had a weekend of bits, as over the next few weeks I'm crazy busy! I have 3 hen dos to go to (2 of them I'm organising), the fabulous Next press day this week, lunches and work bits as well.  Trust me it may not sound frantic but it's all about to start bubbling! With this all in mind, I like to plan well in advance of what I'm going to need, especially if I'm going away.  The weather here in the UK has been a bit sad, so I haven't officially transfered to my summer ensembles.  I decided to take a browse for some dresses that are on the highstreets at the moment, the kind you can dress up or dress down. One of the hen dos is abroad so I need to start thinking about what to pack - and I'm really limited on luggage space! So I've been looking at dresses ideal for most occassions - and more importantly all this helps cut down on packing space.

Topshop Check Floral Lattice Sun Dress - £36.00

A summer dress in a simple cut is perfect, you can wear it with flats or sandals and for a more dressed up look simply add heels, a little cardigan and a clutch. I love how kitch and cute this is... if all else fails wear it for a tea party!

Topshop Heart Mesh Flippy Dress - £48.00

I mainly love the color of this dress and equally so love the fashion statement it oozes. New into Topshop the dress certainly can be dressed up or down.

Miss Selfridge Floral Peplum Dress - £35.00

I'm a huge fan of the Peplum dress as you may be aware (wore one from ProdigyRed in one of my style posts) but I love the fresh floral print in this one from Miss Selfridge.  It may be a little more dressy than casual attire, but team with strappy sandals or ballet pumps would make it more casual and heels and a statement oversized clutch would make it stand out.

Next Belted Broderie Shirt Dress - £46.00

I adore the color of this Next dress, I also would team this broderie dress with strappy sandals in the summer and wedges for a glammed up look. I'd go for big gold bangles and chunky accessories. Perfect for a cheeky cocktail night!

All Saints Pipali Tee Dress - £85.00

What I love about this simple item from All Saints is that you could really have fun with dressing it up.  Its quite easy to see how you could create a casual day look, but equally so the evening look could be very fun. For those ladies who like to show their waist you could have a thin belt in the middle. I love this item, I can just imagine having a summer glow and wearing it shopping in the day!

Mango Tali hem tropical dress - £34.99

Last on my list of multitasking dress is this tropical printed dress from Mango.  Of course when talking about 'sunny' dresses, I was going to pick some sort of tropical print!  Its unwritten rule that when going on your jollies you have something that is tropical related in your holiday clothes. I love that this dress incorporates a subtle touch on the longer back.  It certainly would be fine for a casual look with a long pendent and maybe some gladitor style sandals, but for an evening look I'd either go for colourful statement wedges.
I cannot wait to go away for the abroad hen do, I'm going to try to compact pack!  I will be blogging about packing the right way for a holiday, just before I leave. Watch this space.
