I honestly can’t think of a more appropriate shoe for the finicky southern climate that is Louisiana than the mule. Equal parts business in the front, and party in the back – the comfy slide ins are perfect for those in between winter and spring days which we seem to have around these parts all too often. My thoughts – if you’re going to go for this style of shoe, do it with gusto. You absolutely can’t go wrong with details such as velvet fabric and fur lined soles, and all of the standout detailing is definitely what makes or breaks the shoe. I’m quite partial to this simple black velvet style which I purchased awhile back, and I’m beyond obsessed with this turquoise fur lined pair – get in my closet.
