The Netflix movie Mudbound starring Mary J. Blige and directed by Dee Rees will be honored at the Hollywood Film Awards.
It was announced on Monday that Mudbound will receive the “Hollywood Breakout Ensemble Award,” at the awards show.
Based on the novel by Hillary Jordan, the period drama tells the epic story of two families pitted against one another by a ruthless social hierarchy, yet bound together by the shared farmland of the Mississippi Delta.
The movie, which premieres Nov. 17th on Netflix has been receiving a lot of buzz.
