Verdict: Nice Twist on Werewolf Genre
Story: Wolfcop starts as we meet alcoholic cop Lou Garou (Fafard) who is one of the deputies in a small town that is falling apart with crime. There is a hunting celebration coming to the town along with a mayor race. When Lou answers a late night call he finds himself attacked, branded but dumped back in his own home with heightened sense.
When mayor candidate Terry Wallace (Alexander) is killed there is talk of the festival being cancelled, but Lou finds out the truth about that night when he turns into a wolfman before he gets to spend the night with beautiful barmaid Jessica (Lind). When Lou starts using his wolf side to fight crime he discovers the cover up running through the town.
Wolfcop is a nice twist on the werewolf genre having the werewolf being a cop that works for good, we are used them only being on the dark side of the story. We also get a revenge like story with how the cop wants to clean up the city. We get plenty of twists through the story which keeps us guessing throughout the story. This is just a fun film so the story isn’t the most important side to everything which works taking away the serious side the story could have.
Actor Review
Leo Fafard: Lou Garou/Wolfcop, as Lou he is an alcoholic police deputy who is just getting through each day, but once he turns into Wolfcop he starts fighting crime cleaning up the town that has been getting controlled by a higher power. Leo is good in this role where he plays both the cop and the Wolfcop.
Amy Matysio: Tina is the second deputy that has to work to figure out what is happening to with the change to Lou, she has to fight to save him from what seems like the rest of the town. Amy is good in this supporting role.
Sarah Lind: Jessica is the bar owner that has a thing on the side for Lou, she keeps him liquored up and keeps the town happy with the drinks flowing, but is she everything we see her as. Sarah is good in the supporting role where her mysterious side is clear to see.
Corinne Conley: Mayor Bradley is controlling the town, she has a secret to why she has lasted so long in power. Corinne is important to final act of the film but we don’t see enough from her character early enough in the film.
Support Cast: Wolfcop has a supporting cast that includes all the members of the town who follow certain moments that happen, Willie is the highlight of the supporting characters.
Director Review: Lowell Dean – Lowell gives us a fun horror comedy that brings a fresh twist to the werewolf genre.
Comedy: Wolfcop has good moments of comedy as we see how donuts are important to the cop and Wolfcop.
Horror: Wolfcop uses the gore factor for the horror factor of the story.
Settings: Wolfcop keeps everything in a small town to show just how this cult works.
Special Effects: Wolfcop uses the effects well to create the Wolfcop character along with the kills.
Suggestion: Wolfcop is one to try as the fans of the horror comedy should enjoy this one. (Try It)

Worst Part: We don’t see enough from the supporting characters.
