Verdict: Gritty Low Budget Horror

Story: Savaged starts when our deaf girl Zoe (Adrienne) gets her father’s car she takes the opportunity to travel America taking plenty of selfies while making it to her fiancée Dane (Samuel). Her peaceful trip is interrupted by a gang of violent thugs Trey (Rowland), West (Ardavany) Creed (Meyer), Jed (Blevins) and Cody (Davis), who kidnap her putting her through torture and rape before leaving her for dead.

When apache Grey Wolf (Runningfox) finds the lifeless body of Zoe he performs a ceremony to bring her back to life with the spirit of an Apache warrior inside her. This gives Zoe the chance to go out for revenge against the men responsible. Dane goes searching for Zoe but only ends up becoming bait by the gang who want to finish off the possessed Zoe.

Savaged enters us into the revenge genre mixing the idea of an everyday type of revenge with a historic revenge story. We get the generic gang that easily become unlikable from the moment you first see them which always helps. We also get the contrast of a symbol of innocence going through the Zoe character with her good natured side. All of these factors come together to make this a very simple revenge thriller that is always trying to be creative with the death scenes. (7/10)

Actor Review

Amanda Adrienne: Zoe is the deaf mute who goes on a road trip to be with her fiancée, but her trip is interrupted by a gang of thugs you kidnap, torture, rape and kill her. When Grey Wolf finds her body he tries to bring her back but only ends up being bought back with an apache warrior out for revenge. Amanda does give a good performance as the revenge filled heroine. (7/10)

Marc Anthony Samuel: Dane is the fiancée who goes searching for Zoe but ends up being used as bait by the gang to lure the possessed Zoe in for the final battle. Marc does a solid job but doesn’t do enough due to lack of real involvement in the action. (5/10)

Rodney Rowland: Trey is the leader of the gang who enjoys the torture and pain he puts onto others. He makes Zoe the latest victim but after she returns from the dead he has to bring the men together to fight her off. Rodney does a good job as the lead villain that just made me think evil Daryl Dixon. (7/10)

Tom Ardavany: West it the main muscle who gets all the dirty jobs done which does include killing Zoe before she comes back, he believes he is the best at getting the job done and can’t understand how she is still alive after he took care of her. Tom does a solid job making himself out to be the know it all killer even though he ends up coming off looking weak by the end. (6/10)

Support Cast: Savaged has a supporting cast of the victims that Zoe is after who all end up being generic, we also have the typical Sheriff who doesn’t know what is going on and the witch doctor who brings Zoe back to life.
