Plot: Having recently witnessed the horrific results of a top secret project to bring the dead back to life, a distraught youth performs the operation on his girlfriend after she’s killed in a motorcycle accident.

Verdict: Watch Drunk and Its Fun
Story: Return of the Living Dead III starts with Colonel Reynolds (McCord) Colonel Peck (Callahan) and Colonel Sinclair (Douglas) talking about previous ways the government have tried to use the bioweapon. Next we meet Curt Reynolds (Edmond) and his girlfriend Julie (Clarke) who want to go into the facility to find out what has been getting experimented on there.
As the young couple break into the base with ease they start discovering the secrets of the government facility and what they thought was just animal testing becomes a horrific reality for them. As most experiments not everything goes to plan and the infection starts to spread about the base. When Curt’s father gets reassigned because of the failed experiment Curt decides to stand up to him and leave. Curt being a reckless teenager ends up getting Julie killed. Curt madly in love decides to take Julie’s body back to the base to try and bring her back from the dead, seriously how could this go wrong? Curt manages to bring Julie back to life but she is different now and the bioweapon has been released in the facility. Curt and Julie end up on the run from the government while Julie starts to turn into bloodthirsty.
Return of the Living Dead III is the third part of the zombie filled franchise that always like to focus on the brutality of the kills as well as the make-up used on the zombie creations. The story is very thin and we focus on the idea the government has been experimenting yet again, but the second side of the story shows how naïve people will do anything for love. I do think you will spend time shouting ‘idiots’ at the couple. This is what you expect from it, a chapter three of a tiring franchise that can easily be missed. (5/10)
Actor Review
Melinda Clarke: Julie Walker is the rebellious girl who wants to learn about a potential animal testing facility with her boyfriend Curt. What they discover is shocking but after she dies Curt brings her back to life with a new lust for blood. Melinda does a solid job and has to go through a lot during the film. (6/10)
J Trevor Edmond: Curt Reynolds is the son of one of the generals involved with the testing facility as he takes his girlfriend into sees what they are doing. After his girlfriend dies in an accident Curt decides to bring her back to life like they had seen in the facility leading to them having to go on the run. J Trevor does a solid job but his characters decisions will annoy you. (5/10)
Support Cast: Return of the Living Dead III has generic supporting characters, we have the Colonel’s trying to cover up the mistakes, and we also have the generic gangsters who think they are harder than they actually are. You put these into the film you get the supporting cast you need.
Director Review: Brian Yuzna – Brian does a solid job here but let’s face it, as long as the blood flows these films will be happy. (6/10)
Horror: Return of the Living Dead III is filled with blood and gore from start to finish, perfect for the horror genre. (9/10)
Settings: Return of the Living Dead III uses generic settings that make you know the type of characters you will be dealing with. (8/10)
Special Effects: Return of the Living Dead III uses great effects for the zombie creations. (9/10)
Suggestion: Return of the Living Dead III is one for the horror fans to try especially if you like gore. (Horror Fans Try)
