Police said that the motorbike suspected to have been used in the shooting death of a restaurant owner in Hanwella was found abandoned on a by-road at Hanwella Pahathgama yesterday.
Police said that the chassis number and engine number of the motorbike have been wiped out and the front and rear number plates are also missing.
Police also say that after the shooters who came on the motorbike also has sprayed chilli powder at the scene.
In addition to the Hanwella Police, the Nugegoda Division Criminal Investigation Division and the Western Province South Crime Division are jointly conducting investigations to arrest the suspects in connection with the murder.
