In two days, Motorola has unveiled two exciting smartphones in India. Yesterday, on 9th March, 2015 they launched the high-end device Moto Turbo. And today, on 10th March, the successor of their last year’s best-selling Moto E has been launched.
I’ll talk about Moto E later. But today, let’s take a quick look at what Moto Turbo brings to users,
“Strength, Stamina, Sophistication,” are the three words with which Moto Turbo has been announced in the information I got. And if the specifications are anything to go by, it can definitely promise all these.
One of the highlights of Moto Turbo is its battery. Boasting an impressive 3900 mAh battery with turbo charging, the device isn’t just capable of lasting longer on single charge but also charges faster than other smartphones. This is one of the largest batteries in a smartphone and with turbo-charge, it can equip the smartphone with seven hours of battery power in just 15 minutes of charging.
Moto Turbo is a premium device with a big 5.2-inch Quad HD 2560 X 1440 Pixel (1440p) AMOLED display that claims to deliver 80% more detail than 1080p. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The device ensures smooth and speedy performance with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor which clocks at 2.7 GHz and 3 GB of RAM. It comes with 64 GB internal storage and has Android v5 (Lollipop) operating system. Being a Motorola device, Moto Turbo too gives a pure Android experience without any skin added on it.
Another highlight of Moto Turbo is that it features that same software that has gained much popularity in Motorola’s another best-selling smartphone Moto X And yes, that means voice commands.
It is a single SIM device and takes a Nano SIM card.
Moto Turbo is equipped with impressive 21 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera, which in its turn sounds very unimpressive. The rear 21 MP camera is capable of shooting superior quality pictures and 4k videos.
Moto Turbo has premium ballistic nylon body. Under it is a layer of DuPont Kevlar fiber which is said to be five times stronger material than steel. There’s also a water-repellent coating on the device that gives it protection from an accidental contact with water. All this gives the device better protection and durability.
In terms of looks, I won’t call Moto Turbo quite a stunner. But the specifications, especially the battery, display and rear camera are quite impressive. And at Rs. 41,999, Moto Turbo seems quite competitively priced too. Moto Turbo is now available on pre-order only on Flipkart

Review of Lemon Girl by Writers’Ezine: “The pros of the story are definitely the uniqueness in the plot, the story line and the strong characters woven in, interestingly. Those things make this book stand out amongst the hordes of new titles coming out today. The author has got an edge over them as her narration from the main female lead’s perspective is what makes this book more endearing, bringing out her emotions very beautifully in a language that leaves a mark on the reader for long…”
