Mother of two was arrested and charged for drowning her two children to death in an irrigation canal. According to investigators, the mother said she was unconscious at the time of the incident, but she feels no regrets of what happened.

The mom, Sherri T., took her children Jacob and Jackson to a field across the street from their home and allegedly drowned them in an irrigation canal near a corn field. She allegedly left their bodies behind.

Police officers responded to a 911 call from a local, reporting her neighbor Sherri was acting “strangely.” First responders arriving on the scene, tried to revive the both boys and immediately took them to the local hospital for treatment.

Jackson, 12-year-old, was pronounced dead right after arriving at the hospital. Jason, 7-year-old, was in critical condition and kept on life support. Unfortunately, the boy lost the battle and died days after the incident.

The mother was arrested and awaits trial. When asked by the officers why she did it, she said: “Bad thoughts or voices told me to do so. I don’t regret anything; I did the right thing.”

According to her police record, she tried to drown her older son years ago. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison but only served six years and was later released at the recommendation of her parole officer.

Sherri is currently charged with one count of murder with the special circumstance of lying in wait, one count of attempted murder causing great bodily injury, one count of gassing, and one count of battery on a peace officer.
