A house fire at Manamankadawela results in the tragic death of three family members, mother, daughter and a son. Husband of the wife is currently being treated for severe burn wounds at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
Three people have died from this incident: mother, Nishanthi Hemalatha (30 years) residing at Vevapara, Mahamankadawala, Alayapatthu, her daughter, Jayaratnege Hansaka Prabodani (10 years) and her son, Jayaratnegs Vinuj Navod Jayaratne (05 years).
Police after the preliminary investigation, states that the electricity to the house was obtained from another house and that a petrol can was kept in the house.
