Rob Harrison, “The Tumbling Bear”, is a popular West Coast airshow performer who was part of the lineup at the 2018 Apple Valley Airshow. The Zlin Z-142 is a single-engine two-seat Czech trainer aircraft manufactured by Moravian Otrokovice (now Zlin Aircraft) for military and civilian markets. First flown in 1978, the Z-142 is the most popular model in the manufacturer’s product lineup with over 360 produced. License production of the Z-142 has been carried out in Algeria. This type also saw limited combat action in Sri Lanka.
