I love mixing decorative styles in my designs, it makes things a bit more interesting and a better design overall. Although it can be at times tricky, two completely opposite styles can merge beautifully in a room. This past weekend I came across this stunning riad in Marrakech and it simply blew my mind. With the help of French designer Romain Michel-Ménière, a British expat transformed an old home into a serene and stylish oasis for her and her mother. By seamlessly blending the traditional Moroccan architectural features from the house with a more modern and minimalist look, they were able to update the house and create a dreamy place to call home in their adoptive new city.
