More Than 1,000 PlayStation Games Are Discounted In New PSN Sale

Posted on the 04 June 2021 by Saraluck

The PlayStation Store has kicked off another massive sale with deals on more than 1,300 PS4 and PS5 games. The PlayStation Indies sale runs until June 19 and is chock-full of great deals, including big discounts on Disco Elysium – The Final Cut, Outer Wilds, Spelunky 2, and Super Meat Boy Forever. The new promotion joins the ongoing Days of Play sale, which is still running until next week.

Disco Elysium – The Final Cut just launched on PlayStation a couple months ago, and this is the first discount we’ve seen on the groundbreaking RPG. Normally $40, Disco Elysium is available for only $28 during the sale. Featuring some of the best writing in the genre, an innovative gameplay loop, and a gorgeous world filled with lively characters, Disco Elysium is a role-playing game that can truly be called original. It earned a rare 10/10 in our Disco Elysium review.

Some excellent indies from last year are on sale for new low prices, too. The challenging roguelike platformer Spelunky 2 is up for grabs for only $12, the moving horror-laced tactics game Othercide is $18, the well-designed automatic runner Super Meat Boy Forever is slashed to $15, and the captivating narrative-focused adventure Kentucky Route Zero is down to $15.

The sale brings a great opportunity to stock up on some older indie titles for dirt cheap. The engrossing metroidvania Axiom Verge is on sale for $8, the wildly inventive adventure Outer Wilds is $15, and the superb shoot-’em-up Nex Machina is only $5.

We’ve rounded up some of the highlights from the PlayStation Indies sale below. Make sure to check out Days of Play before the promotion ends next week for the first discounts on PS5 games like Demon’s Souls, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. With Prime Day 2021 fast approaching, we’ve also rounded up the best PS4 and PS5 Prime Day deals so far.
