MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – One suspect is arrested while the second one is still on the run, both involved in shooting in Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred on Interstate 45, north of Pruitt Road when after a traffic stop male and female refused to identify themselves.

Both refusing to provide IDs, the sheriff on the scene tried to identify the passengers with the AFIS system (an automatic fingerprint identification system). While waiting for the results, the male driver jumped into the vehicle and tried to take off in reverse attempting to run over the officer.

That’s when the deputy and the DPS Trooper fired their weapons at the vehicle. There is no information if any of the passenger were hit by the gunfire. Luckily, officers are also not injured.

Some minutes later, passengers were both identified as Tyler Goodson and Rebecca Orange.

Rebecca fled the scene on foot and was later found by the police. She is not arrested.

The second suspect is still on the run and police officers are looking for him.
