Monster Starring Jennifer Hudson releases this Friday on Netflix and you would want to grab your kids and watch it!
I got an advance screening of the upcoming drama and I have to be honest and tell you that even though it's a great film, it was hard to watch... Especially with all the police brutality that's going on against out Black men and women.
NetflixMonster tells the story of Steve Harmon (Kelvin Harrison, Jr.) a seventeen-year-old honor student whose world comes crashing down around him when he is charged with felony murder. The film follows his dramatic journey from a smart, likeable film student from Harlem attending an elite high school through a complex legal battle that could leave him spending the rest of his life in prison.
J-Hud portrays his mother Mrs. Harmon in the film. Throughout the film she encompasses what it means to be a mother and to remain strong in your FAITH through difficult times.
"Monster" executive produced by John Legend, Nas, and Jeffrey Wright.
Check out the clip below that features Mrs. Harmon instilling hope, purpose, encouragement, and love in her son, Steven using Psalm 28.
