Mommy-to-be MUST HAVES

By Saratpierce
Seeing as how I'm 20 weeks a long in my first pregnancy I figured it was about time I shared more than just my weekly stats and gushed about some of my favorite PREGGO items.Considering I have a ton of friends who are pregnant right now, sharing seems only right! These are all things I have gotten my hands on via general research, word of mouth and gifts! I'll get right down to it!1. The Bella BandMommy-to-be MUST HAVESWhat a brilliant creation!Because the main area of baby growth on my body is right in my belly, and a lot of my pre-preggo clothes as loose enough to follow me through for a while, I haven't wanted to spend tons of bucks on maternity clothes. But as time went on the the belly started expanding, my pants starting dominating in a little game called, see how far you can zip me up before I burst. But since the rest of the pants fit, I started looping an elastic hair-tie through the button hole so they would actually stay up. A brilliant attempt, if I do say so myself, but eventually the hair-tie strategy faded out and I needed something more stable. I LOVE THE BELLA BAND! It's perfect for keeping my pants up around my hips with the maximum comfort. It's easily hidden with longer shirts but if it does show it just looks like an undershirt! I don't know how long I'll be able to fit into my pre-preggo pants but as long as I can you can bet there's a Bella Band keeping mefrom mooning everyone! Must buy!2. Boppy Pregnancy PillowMommy-to-be MUST HAVESShe looks like she's having the best sleep of her life doesn't she? That's because she probably is. I'm obsessed with this pillow! It's hip, neck and belly support all in one! While I mentioned yesterday that I'm a majority side sleeper now, it still allows me to shift over to a comfortable partial-back position if I need to. I was worried that it would take up the entire bed and leave no room for hubby but it's really quite compact and fits around me perfectly. A definite must have if you've been finding it difficult to get a good nights sleep. AND I can imagine it is extremely helpful for those soon-to-be-moms who are not used to sleeping on their side. It's extremely comfortable and kind of keeps you in place. Definitely a must have!3. Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly BalmMommy-to-be MUST HAVESThis stuff is fantastic. I'm fortunate enough to not have stretch marks {yet} and although I know they are practically unavoidable, I'm doing everything I can to try and minimize them. Burt's Belly Balm is made of pumpkin seed oil and olive oil so it makes my skin SUPER smooth! I feel my belly is getting hydrated and ready for more expansion! There's no smell... good or bad... so I can lather up before bed and after the shower without making everything smell like goo. My only complaint is the tin it comes in... it's REALLY hard to get open, especially if you're a mess like me and have managed to cover the whole thing in balm making it extra slippery! Other than that it's wonderful. I've had my tin since way before I started showing and am still about 1/2 full so it lasts forever with a little going a long way! Another MUST BUY!That's all for now, although I'm sure I'll be adding more to my list soon! I'm in the process of finding a belly support band for pelvic and back pain. I've heard the mommy-band is great but if you have any other recommendations, let me know!Until next time...All you moms and moms-to-be... what are some of your favorite preggo MUST HAVES?I do not own or claim to own the images in this post: image sources: bella band, boppy pillow, belly balm
