Printers are now a well established part of our modern, technology filled life. Since the advent or mass market printing with the huge dot matrix machines of the 1980s, people have had a great affinity with printed material. Today, professional quality printing can be achieved at home, with machines costing as little as £50. Whilst the quality of the machines themselves may have gone down, being produced mainly from cheap plastics, the technology inside them is amazing. From laser to inkjet, printing has come a very long way in the past twenty years.
