Unveiling its new True Wireless earbuds, Mobvoi announced the release of its TicPods 2 Pro Plus. This follows a line of generally well received true wireless earphones for those who want AirPods beauty, but don't want to overpay for branding.
The latest addition to the Mobvoi true wireless earphones stable uses Qualcomm's QCC5121 chipset, much like its predecessor, the TicPods 2 Pro. Unlike the TicPods 2 Pro, however, the latest Mobvoi True Wireless earphones can connect each earbud to your phone individually via Bluetooth 5.0. This is a major upgrade over the TicPods 2 Pro, as those earphones require a master bud connection to control both channels. iOS users will stick to AAC, but Android users have more codecs to choose from, including aptX, AAC and SBC.
On top of the standard controls enjoyed by the TicPods 2 Pro, users of Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus will be able to adjust the volume via voice commands or gestures. Mobvoi true wireless earphones have similar controls in previous iterations, but were unable to adjust the volume in this way.
According to the press release, the Mobvoi TicPods 2 Pro Plus case will charge over a 390mAh lithium-ion battery, a USB-C connection, and be able to provide enough power to use earbuds for an hour in just five minutes . Charge time The case battery is quite large, which requires charging the earbuds 6 times before recharging.
Curiously AirPods-esque, the TicPods 2 Pro Plus offers a familiar unseen design.
Finally, active users will appreciate the IPX4 dust and water resistance rating, meaning sweat and occasional raindrops will not fry these earphones.
