Mobile Usability is Here – Are You Yet?

WPTouch Pro for Mobile Usability

mobile usabilityIf you missed my last post about getting mobile ready with responsive web design and you haven’t had the time to make a new website or blog overhaul, you may just need the right plug-in. I had the FREE WP Touch version for years here and realized the only page that was mobile friendly was my posts page. (Which I had re-directed from my homepage).

I started looking over my Google Webmaster Tools and got deep into my HTML and other technical parts of the site. Then it hit me like a rock – All I needed to do was spend a little money and upgrade to the WPTouch Pro plug-in! In less than 5 minutes I had the issue resolved. For a little over $50 the problem was resolved and I could continue to work on upcoming posts vs. spending hours on technical issues. Isn’t that awesome?

You can do the same thing by going to their website today. It was so easy to install and set-up. It literally did take under 5 minutes like their marketing material explained. I am not an affiliate or getting paid for this post, it’s something I thought others like yourself may benefit from.

Do double check your cache settings as you may need to delete your cache to make it work as I later learned from my tech friend Mayura. Also check the plugin often as you do your other plugins for updates. Be sure to update all your WordPress plugins often!

Why Mobile Usability Now?

I love a quote I read from Ashley Faulkes of Mad Lemmings on his latest post on SEO:  (It came from SMMW).

I think this quote really says it all. If you are not mobile ready you may not appear on page one of Google in search even if you had before. You could slide down to page 2 or much further. For a small business that could make a difference between staying in business or going out of business. I’ve seen it before with previous algorithm changes Google implemented a few years ago.
