MM.com Domain Sells After $1.2 Million Purchase

Posted on the 09 June 2015 by Worldwide @thedomains

The domain name MM.com has been confirmed sold! The transaction took place last Wednesday, June 3, 2015 with the domain name being acquired by Jinxin Wang Luo of Fujian, China according to whois records.

I did try and get a purchase price but the buyer did not wish to share the details publicly.

Hangzhou Duomai E-Commerce Co.,Ltd, owners of the popular 4.cn website acquired the domain name MM.com in a $1.2 Million dollar purchase that was brokered by Sedo.com’s Dave Evanson as reported by DomainInvesting.com’s Elliot Silver in June 2014.

Since the domain sold for $1.2 Million, just shy of 1 year ago and Jinxin was not willing to share the current purchase price, we do not know if the domain sold for more than the $1.2 Million it did in 2014, but with the way the Chinese market is going currently for short .com domain names, the market is ripe for it selling for a profit IMO!

There are only 676, 2 letter .com domain names and only 26 double repeating 2 letter .com’s, making MM.com that much more rare and sought after!

MM.com was registered on January 18, 1994

For 2015, there has been only 1 reported 7 figure deal according to DnJournal.com YTD sales chart, which is Porno.com which Rick Schwartz sold for $8,888,888.88. Sadly for the domain industry, the higher the domain sale, the less likely the purchase price is publicly reported.

MM.com IMO is a pure example of this happening.
