MIUI 8 Release Delayed, Now Coming on 23rd August

Xiaomi’s custom firmware MIUI 8 has been delayed by a week. At the launch in China and in the global launch in India, the company had stated that the stable version of MIUI 8 will be available before 16th August. However, Xiaomi has updated te timelines and has announced the MIUI 8 stable ROM will be released from 23rd August.

MIUI 8 will be available for almost all the Mi devices : Mi Max, Mi Note, Mi 5, Mi 4, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 2, Redmi Note Prime, Redmi Note 3, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 2 and Redmi 1s. A few days back Xiaomi had released the MIUI Public Beta ROM which as per the company had some known bugs and they were working to remove them before the stable release.

MIUI 8 is being built from scratch and brings in lots of new features including Dual Apps, mobile and DTH recharge, Hindi T9 prediction, Smart Caller ID, Free ringtones, Mi Cloud Photo Sync, scrolling screenshots , Quick ball and a whole new calculator app.

Another good news is that Xiaomi is also planning to start working towards MIUI 9 which will be based on Android N. Hope now Mi users will get faster updates as earlier most of the MIUI version ran on outdated Android versions.
