Transiting thru Frankfurt on an evening flight provided this view of a CRJ-900 illuminated out on the tarmac. The CRJ900 is a stretched 76–90 seat version of the CRJ700 with a wider wing, leading edge slats, and redesigned tail. The most numerous of the CRJ family, 487 of these regional jets were produced before production was ended by Mitsubishi after acquiring the program from Bombardier in 2020. Lufthansa CityLine operates 28 of these aircraft in their fleet.
