Mistletoe and Magic by Katie Rose is a Loveswept publication with an expected release date of October 14,2013.
This is a historical romance novella.
Jared, a prominent attorney, sets eyes on the beautiful Penelope and it's love at first sight. But, for Penelope it's a different sort of sight. While dancing with the dashing Jared, Penelope sees a vision or premonition of Jared's death.
To protect herself from going through that kind of pain, she distances herself from Jared. In her determination to keep the very smitten and persistent Jared at arms length, she becomes almost shrewish towards him.
Eventually, Penelope must confide in someone and Jared finally gets wind of why Penelope is putting him off.
Jared was an absolute dream. He even played matchmaker for one of Penelope's aunts. He may have had an ulterior motive in there, but their romance added another touch of magic to the story.
I must confess I haven't read the previous books in this series, but if possible I would like to go back and catch up on it. This book can be read as stand alone. It is of course set during the Christmas holidays. There are lots of cozy Christmas descriptions and romance, and of course just a little bit of magic.
This is a short, light, sweet holiday romance, perfect for getting you in the holiday spirit.
