Verdict on Missing The Lucie Blackman Case
Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case is a documentary following the sudden disappearance of British hostess Lucie Blackman. It follows her father who traveled to Japan and pushed to make it more public. However, it went against how the Japanese would have naturally investigated the case.
This case ended up causing a drift between the English determination and style that created speculation. Against the stricter Japanese one that only wanted answers nothing more. Where the styles clash, it leads to a wider problem for both sides as they are searching for the same answers.
This puts forward an interesting case but only looks to expose the serial offender. While it starts out interesting, by showing the clash in culture between the two sides searching for the answer. It ends up just going through the case, which does have complications around it, but ends up getting famously solved. This ends up focusing more on the killer than the life the victim tried to have.
Where to Watch: Missing the Lucie Blackman Case is available on Netflix now.
Final Thoughts –Missing the Lucie Blackman Case is a dark documentary focusing more on the killer than the victim.
