The Mint Hill Police Department has activated an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Adalyn Mae Hochstetler, who has been reported missing under concerning circumstances. Adalyn, a young girl measuring 3 feet in height and weighing around 30 pounds, possesses distinct features such as brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen dressed in a jean skirt coupled with a pink shirt.
Authorities have reason to believe that Adalyn may be in the company of her mother, Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler, a 30-year-old woman standing 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. The child’s father contacted the Mint Hill police on Thursday, notifying them that he is separated from Kelsi and was expecting to spend time with his daughter on June 19. However, Adalyn failed to arrive, and the father’s last interaction with Kelsi also occurred on the same day. Significantly, the father recalls the last time he personally laid eyes on Adalyn was on June 11.
Following a visit to Kelsi Hochstetler’s residence, law enforcement officials were unable to locate her. An ensuing investigation unveiled the alarming fact that no members of her family have had any contact with her for nearly two weeks. Investigators suspect that Hochstetler might be attempting to evade the authorities due to pending court hearings pertaining to child custody matters.
Kelsi Lyn Hochstetler was most recently sighted on Dan Hood Road in Mint Hill, and she could be operating a 2019 Black Kia Optima LX bearing a North Carolina license plate registered as “FFF3959.” The police have received information indicating that she might be heading towards Delaware, potentially to rendezvous with a person she is romantically involved with.
The Mint Hill Police Department is earnestly appealing to the public for any information regarding Adalyn’s whereabouts. Concerned individuals are encouraged to contact the department directly at 704-889-2231. Additionally, in emergency situations, it is crucial to dial 911 and provide any relevant details that may assist law enforcement in locating the missing child and ensuring her safe return.
