Director Harish Shankar is in a strange predicament now. His last film was a blockbuster and upcoming movie hints at another in the making. He has already committed to a number of projects but strangely he has no film that would go to sets immediately or any time in near future. Confused! Well here is the thing, the director as we all know is committed to do his next with Stylish Star Allu Arjun but the star is currently busy with Race Gurram which doesn’t look like getting completed anytime soon.
This situation has given director Harish Shankar lots of free time where he could take a break (which he has been planning for some time) and then start and finish a film as well. That’s how Mirapakai 2 comes into picture. Sources say that the director has decided to do a movie in this gap with Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja (who is yet to start a film post Balupu success). It is tentatively titled as Mirapakai 2 although nothing is known about it being a direct sequel of the earlier movie or not. Ramesh Puppala is expected to produce this film as well. Unless some other project comes out of blue or if there is a contractual obligation, this could very well be Harish Shankar’s next project after Ramayya Vastavayya.
