Foreign Minister Ali Sabry PC had a productive discussion with the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States Dr.Nayef Falah M Al Hajraf.
“We agreed to expedite the process of entering into a framework agreement to enhance cooperation”, Minister Sabry said.
Last year out of the 312,000 Sri Lankans who went overseas for employment, 257,000 went to GCC countries. “I appreciated and thanked the SG for this essential lifeline that allowed Sri Lanka to overcome the economic crisis”.
