Mineral House Spa @ Crowne Plaza, Newcastle

I do enjoy a spa visit, so when I found out about Mineral House opening within the new Crowne Plaza hotel in Newcastle, I knew I'd have to pop along and see what it had to offer. I was in luck, as they were very generously allowing people to book in for a free visit during their opening week; I decided Sunday would be a good day to visit, for a relaxing afternoon.
Tucked away behind Central Station, within the Stephenson Quarter, you'll find Crowne Plaza. If you're a regular visitor to the Steamer events at the Boiler Shop, you'll be familiar with the area - if not, you're around 10 minutes walk from Monument and Eldon Square.
Mineral House is hidden away in the lower level of the hotel and includes a gym, treatment rooms, steam room, jacuzzi and a 10m swimming pool. Whilst it's quite compact, you certainly get the full spa relaxation you'd find elsewhere and the prices are pretty competitive.
Offering a range of treatments from massages to manicures, pedicures and waxing, Mineral House is a great place to pop to for a weekend pamper, or for an early morning swim and steam room if you're staying in the hotel. It's open from 6:30am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, so you've got no excuse!
