Story: Military Wives starts as we meet the wives Kate (Thomas), Lisa (Horgan), Annie (Lowndes), Jess (French), Ruby (Rossi), Sarah (James-Kelly) and many more who see their partners off serving in Afghanistan.
Kate tries to help the others pass the time, teaming up with the new leader of the group Lisa, who will see them getting involved in trying to start a choir, one that will see them becoming a media sensation.

Thoughts – Military Wives is based on the real-life military wives’ choirs that created a movement throughout the world for the loved ones that are going to be left behind during conflict. This story follows the two leaders, one grieving a lost son, one new to the position clashing over what they believe to be the most important. It will see the women coming together to help each other through the times they might need supporting, not knowing whether their husbands will return, but giving them the support needed to have people around them, that understand the stress and offer comfort. The music choices are the heart and soul of the film, with the songs being selected to help show what is needed in a time of need. The performances are wonderful, with the women in the film, showing the friendship being created between the characters. This is a feel-good movie through one of the most difficult times of the women.
Final Thoughts – Military Wives is a feel-good movie, filled with magical music moments.
