Microsoft has just launched the Xbox One X at the gaming industry’s biggest event the E3 expo in Los Angeles. After months of speculation the tech giant unwrapped it much awaited Project Scorpio which is officially now called as Xbox One X. It is the most powerful game console to date when it launches this holiday season, claims Microsoft.
Formerly knows as Project Scorpio, Xbox One X is a true 4G Gaming console and comes with super high end sepcifications. The new console is set to arrive November 7, priced at $499, as initially suggested.
Xbox One X Specifications
In terms of specs, Xbbox One X boasts tones of firepower and Microsoft has also ensured backword compatibility which ensures that accessories and games for previous consoles will work on the latest one.
The Xbox One X comes with an 2.3GHz eight core CPU and a GPU powerful enough to run games at 6 teraflops graphical power. This is much more than its main compertitor the PS4 Pro, that comes with 4.2 teraflops. Both the GPU and CPU are specifically made by AMD for the console. It comes with 12 GB DDR5 RAM out of which 9GB is dedicated for gaming. The Xbox One X comes with 1TB hard drive storage and a UHD Blu-ray drive.
The latest console is slightly thinner (5mm) than the Xbox One S however is the heaviest one of the Xbox family and weighs aroung 8.4 pounds.
While the new console render 4K resolution, for users with 1080p displays Xbox One X can perform supersampling. Hence they will be able to get the maximum out of this powerful beat.
Titles like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Halo Wars 2 will be available for free announced Phil Spencer. Xbox One X is slated to launch worldwide on November 7 with a price of $500 USD, £450 GBP, €499 Euro, $599 CAD, and $649 AUD. You can prebook Xbox One X at Amazon.
