Microsoft, the software giant is always in news for its exceptionally impressive products. By launching innovative and impressive products from time to time, this time Microsoft has unveiled it’s technically and aesthetically sound Tablet “Microsoft Surface Pro 3”. The Tablet is claimed to be capable of replacing the laptops. Surface Pro 3 has been designed in a way that it appears to be more compact and sleek than the predecessors. With a 12 inch screen and weighing at 800 grams, Microsoft has alarmed its fans with such a compact and light weighed Tablet.

Panos Panay, the Corporate Vice President of Surface, Microsoft said, “Pushing it to twelve inches was critical. If we want to do more with the tablet, and have it replace the laptop, this was absolutely critical.” By launching a much larger and a very beautifully light Tablet, Microsoft has proved to keep and maintain its expertise in this segment. Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 is available in three different models ranging from 800 dollars to 2000 dollars. Beating Apple iPad’s screen of 9.7 inches, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 has indeed delighted its fans. The tablet facilitates the user to have an access to Microsoft’s Office Software Suite, the best Office Software across the nations.

Satya Nadella, the new Chief Executive Officer, Microsoft cleared at the launch in New York about the mission, vision and clarity of Microsoft in developing its own devices. Nadella said, “We are not building hardware for hardware’s sake. We want to build experiences that bring together all the capabilities of our company.” The launch of Surface Pro 3 on Tuesday mentioned great comparison with Mac for beating it at every level. The launch of this Tablet also discussed several other limitations in Tablets which failed to fulfill every requirement of Office. Jack Gold of J. Gold said, “Microsoft finally seems to understand it cannot go head to head with Apple’s iPad, and must offer a superior business device.” Microsoft has always aimed at concentrating and focusing upon its key strengths of manufacturing its own set of devices.

Specifications:

Though the exact specifications of Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 are yet not revealed, still few of its dimensions have been received. The slate flaunts a 12 inches display screen which definitely beats Apple’s Mac. The resolution of screen is 2160 x 1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 3:2. However, Surface Pro 3 has also carried on some of the similar features as the ones in its predecessors. With thin dimensions of 9.1 mm, the tablet definitely stands out amongst all the other present players.

Focusing upon the response Daniel Ives, the analyst at FBR Capital Markets said, “This is Microsoft’s best shot yet to move the needle in the right direction on market share gains. The odds are stacked against Microsoft, although we have to credit Nadella with putting his pedal to the metal to go after tablet market share, which remains key going forward.”
