Michelle Williams is taking a leave of absence from her new Broadway, per doctors orders!
The Fearless singer had took on the role of the goddess Erzulie in the Broadway production of Once On This Island back in November.
According to the show, Michelle has been advised by her doctors to step away from the Tony Award-winning show immediately.
“Effective immediately, Michelle T. Williams has been advised by her medical doctors to take a leave of absence from performing,” the show’s rep said in a statement on Wednesday. “As a result, the singer/actress will not continue in the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of Once on This Island. She joined the cast on November 30 in the role of goddess Erzulie and was warmly welcomed back to Broadway and into the show.”
On Friday, Michelle announced that she and fiance’ Chad Johnson had split.
