Michael Steele Chosen To Lead RNC Because He Was Black
Former RNC chairman Michael Steele, apparently, was chosen to lead the GOP  back in 2009 because he was black, if you believe the words of  CPAC communications director, Ian Walters.

On Friday night at the Ronald Reagan CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) dinner, Walters told the crowd that Steele was elected chairman of the Republican National Committe from 2009-2011, ” because he was a black guy, and that was the wrong thing to do.”

Well, Michael Steele also happened to be at that dinner when Ian Walters made the horrific comment, but according to The Root, he sat quietly while this dude threw shade at him, deciding, instead to address Ian through an interview with the Observer.

“I wanted to talk to [CPAC chairman] Matt Schlapp first, but I think it’s painfully stupid what he said,” Steele told the Observer when asked about a remark CPAC communications director Ian Walters made at a dinner during the conference.

“If he feels that way I’d like him to come say that to my face,” Steele added. “And then I’d like him to look at my record and see what I did. I can’t believe an official of CPAC would go onstage in front of an audience and say something like that. I’ve been a strong supporter of CPAC for many years and I thought they raised them better than that here.”
