MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Wednesday the U.S. threat of tariffs on Mexican goods has lessened, after his top envoy met with U.S. President Donald Trump and other Washington officials to assess progress on reducing migration.
After meeting with Vice President Mike Pence and a brief exchange with Trump on Tuesday, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said he expected a trend of significant decreases in U.S.-bound migration through Mexico to continue.
