Tigridia: aka Mexican Shellflowers
Some gardeners scoff when I mention I plant Tigridia -- because she only flowers for one short day. I'm simply delighted to be there, on the day her petals unfurl..Over winter these very tender bulbs indoors. And, plant at least a dozen! They come in a variety of jaw-dropping colors.
